V poslední době stále častěji vystupuje do popředí problematika přístupu pacientů k účinné a často nejnovější farmakoterapii. Ta má významnou roli při poskytování zdravotní péče a představuje nemalou položku v nákladech. V roce 2003 náklady na léky dosáhly 48 miliard Kč, což přestavuje přibližně 25 % objemu finančních prostředků v oblasti zdravotnictví (1)...
