Právna úprava zdravotnej dokumentácie v Slovenskej republike

Základnou právnou normou, ktorá v Slovenskej republike upravuje poskytovanie zdravotnej starostlivosti je zákon č. 277/1994 Z.z o zdravotnej starostlivosti. Tento zákon nadobudol účinnosť od 1. januára 1995 a nahradil dovtedajšiu úpravu, ktorú predstavoval zákon č. 20/1966 Zb. o starostlivosti o zdravie ľudu. V zákone o zdravotnej starostlivosti bola upravená aj zdravotná dokumentácia, jej vedenie a spôsob nakladania s ňou. Zdravotnú dokumentáciu upravuje zákon o zdravotnej starostlivosti v § 16. Tento paragraf bol od prijatia zákona o zdravotnej starostlivosti novelizovaný celkom 5 krát, najvýznamnejšiu novelizáciu predstavoval zákon č. 241/1998 Z.z., ktorý dovtedajšiu právnu úpravu zdravotnej dokumentácie celkom zmenil (1).
